Before an AI makes the call
Plan a clear human handoff for AI-assisted calls in Cameroon.
Begin with the purpose of the call
An automated caller can communicate approved information or collect a request while staff handle other work. It still needs boundaries: what it may say, which actions it may take and when a person should step in. A convincing voice does not guarantee that a name, request or business commitment has been understood.
Claritas is working on AI calling in Cameroon. The useful starting point is a specific call purpose and a person responsible for what happens next, rather than a promise that an assistant can handle every conversation.

Write down what the caller may do
Choose a narrow initial task: for example, communicate approved information or collect a request for a human to review. List the source material, supported languages, questions it must not answer and actions it cannot authorize. A caller should not invent a price, claim that a booking is confirmed, or make commitments absent from the approved workflow.
Decide how the recipient is told they are interacting with automation. Agree contact permissions, recording choices, information handling and applicable requirements before operation. Do not treat a technically connected phone number as permission for unsolicited calling.
Make the handoff part of the test
- What happens when the person asks for a human?
- Who reviews an unclear answer or an unsupported request?
- How are disconnections and repeated calls handled?
- What may be saved, who can access it and when is it removed?
- How can the business pause the workflow?
Start with a controlled pilot
Use test scenarios and authorized participants before wider operation. Review whether information was correct, the next action was understood and escalation reached the responsible person. The project is ready to expand only when those boundaries work in practice. Claritas’s AI and automation service includes workflow assessment, human review design and integration planning; a calling engagement needs its own agreed scope and verification.
