Your camera saw it. Who responds?
A useful security system needs a response plan.

A notification is only the beginning
A movement alert is useful when the responsible person knows what to check and who should act. Live access, recording retrieval and an agreed response process need to work together, especially when the normal site contact is unavailable.
A camera purchase and a security response plan are different decisions. Claritas’s smart-security service considers site risks, coverage, recording, access, connectivity and handover together.
Questions for the site survey
- Which entrances and areas need coverage, and for what documented purpose?
- What do lighting, weather and the physical layout mean for useful pictures?
- Who receives each alert, and who acts if the first person is unavailable?
- Who may view live pictures, retrieve recordings or change settings?
- How will the team check recording, storage and relevant power or network dependencies?
- What maintenance and access review are included after installation?
These questions guide the design. They do not establish camera count, retention duration or final cost without understanding the actual site.
Keep access deliberate
Remote viewing should have authorized accounts and a clear owner. Avoid making a shared password the permanent handover method. Agree the purpose of recordings, appropriate access and applicable privacy requirements before deployment. A fixed retention period copied from another business may be inappropriate for your site.
Ask for a demonstrated handover
Before accepting the system, ask to see the agreed coverage and recording-retrieval workflow under representative conditions. Name the person who will maintain the installation and update access when staff change. Document what happens if a camera, recorder or connection is unavailable.
Claritas can discuss assessment, system design, installation scope and user guidance. Supported remote access and integrations depend on the selected equipment and connectivity. Cameras can support visibility and investigation; they do not guarantee prevention of theft, uninterrupted recording or an immediate response.
