Use the Flash screen safely
Choose up to three screen colors and adjust how quickly they change.
What to do
- Open Flash. Read the flashing-light safety warning before continuing.
- Tap color choices to select or remove them; at least one stays selected and the maximum is three. Use the color-picker icon for another color.
- Adjust Speed. A higher value makes changes faster. Choose one static color if you do not want alternating colors.
- Tap Start. Use the close button labelled Close flash display, or Android Back, to leave.
Use ordinary static Banner text when flashing colors would be distracting or unsuitable. Increasing Flash Speed changes how quickly the screen cycles through selected colors; it does not change scrolling text speed in Banner. You can return to the Flash editor and adjust the selection before starting again.
Keep in mind
Flashing lights may affect people with photosensitive epilepsy; do not use around people who could be affected. This changes the screen, not the camera flashlight. Returning after the app was backgrounded can reset Flash colors and speed.
