Connect an AriaCast receiver
Connect through the AriaCast route and check the settings that matter.
Before connecting
Use a receiver that actually advertises the AriaCast audio service. Turn on its network-audio feature and complete its own Wi-Fi setup.
- Connect the receiver and Android phone to the same reachable Wi-Fi network.
- Open Settings → Receiver types → AriaCast and make sure the type is enabled. AirSound negotiates stereo PCM automatically; there is no separate user-selected codec in this route.
- Return to Receivers, tap Scan again and select the device’s matching route.
- Approve the Android audio and sharing prompts. Start eligible source music, then confirm sound on the receiver.
- Adjust speaker volume on the receiver row if a slider is available. Disconnect from that same row before changing output.
Volume appears only when the receiver advertises control support. Local framing tests passed; physical receiver testing remains model-dependent.
If it appears in discovery but cannot play, that is not proof that a driver is missing. Confirm the receiver’s advertised service, accepted format and firmware with its manufacturer. See Receiver compatibility.
