No receivers found or connection keeps dropping
Work through discovery and Wi-Fi problems before changing sound settings.
- Check power and network-audio settings on the receiver. It must be awake enough to advertise its service.
- Connect both devices to the same reachable local network. Avoid a guest Wi-Fi network that isolates clients. Matching Wi-Fi names alone does not guarantee devices can communicate.
- Enable Find receivers automatically or tap Scan again. Open Settings → Wi-Fi if the phone is on mobile data.
- If a VPN or security app is active, check whether it blocks local-network traffic. Follow that app’s supported local-network setting.
- If you manage the router, check client/AP isolation and local multicast discovery settings. Change only settings you understand; ask the network owner otherwise.
- For repeated dropouts, move closer to the access point, check battery restrictions and try a more stable audio delay. If the receiver returns a pairing error, follow the password guide instead.
If it still fails, use Connection details where available and email a non-sensitive summary with the model and Android version. A scan finding the device does not prove its audio format or authentication mode is supported.
