Connect a Google Cast speaker or TV
Connect through the Google Cast route and check the settings that matter.
Before connecting
Use a receiver offering Google Cast and an Android phone with Google Play services. Configure the receiver with its manufacturer’s supported setup app first.
- Connect the receiver and Android phone to the same reachable Wi-Fi network.
- Open Settings → Receiver types → Google Cast and make sure the type is enabled. AirSound uses live WAV through Google’s standard receiver. Leave Disconnect on mute off unless you want muting to end this connection.
- Return to Receivers, tap Scan again and select the device’s matching route.
- Approve the Android audio and sharing prompts. Start eligible source music, then confirm sound on the receiver.
- Adjust speaker volume on the receiver row if a slider is available. Disconnect from that same row before changing output.
The implemented Cast route still needs physical-model acceptance testing. Devices that reject live WAV may not play, even if discovery works.
If it appears in discovery but cannot play, that is not proof that a driver is missing. Confirm the receiver’s advertised service, accepted format and firmware with its manufacturer. See Receiver compatibility.
