Use the equalizer and presets
Choose a preset or adjust the ten frequency bands manually.
- Open Listening and turn on Enable equalizer.
- Open the Preset dropdown. Start with Flat, then try a preset while familiar music is playing.
- Swipe horizontally across the band bank to reach all ten bands. Move a fader up to boost that frequency or down to reduce it.
- Manual changes select Custom. Your selected preset and band values are saved locally. Turn the equalizer off to compare with unprocessed audio.
| Preset or range | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Flat | All bands at 0 dB. A neutral starting point. |
| Bass Boost / Treble Boost | Emphasize the low / high end. Try modest changes first. |
| Vocal / Podcast | Speech-focused alternatives; compare intelligibility at a comfortable volume. |
| Pop / Rock / Jazz / Classical / Electronic / Acoustic | Different ten-band curves. Pick by how your source and speaker sound, rather than by the track’s label alone. |
| Custom | Your manual band values; faders range from −12 dB to +12 dB. |
| 31–125 Hz | Deep bass and bass weight. Small speakers may not reproduce the lowest band. |
| 250 Hz–2 kHz | Body, midrange and much of speech clarity. |
| 4–16 kHz | Presence, brightness and high-frequency detail. |
The equalizer processes audio before transmission. Boosts reserve headroom to reduce clipping, so a boosted preset may sound quieter overall. If you hear distortion, reduce boosts and compare with Flat; also check the source and speaker volume.
