Which speakers and TVs can I use?
Understand the difference between a supported connection route and a verified physical model.
Start with the protocol shown beside the device in Receivers, not its brand alone. AirSound has implemented AirPlay/AirPlay 2, DLNA/UPnP, compatible Sonos/HEOS UPnP routes, AriaCast, Google Cast, legacy Fire TV, Samsung MSF, and local HTTP/HLS streaming.
Evidence and limitations
- The owner confirmed HomePod playback from Spotify’s web player in their tested setup.
- Other receiver transports have controlled local protocol tests, but the current project records do not certify physical playback on every listed family or model.
- Some receivers need an output codec that is absent, such as MP3. Choose a supported AirPlay or UPnP route when available.
- Legacy encrypted RAOP and some older Apple TV PIN modes are unsupported.
- Fire TV’s route relies on legacy Fling support; newer firmware may not expose it.
- Synchronized multiroom, HomePod stereo groups and proprietary Sonos/HEOS group controls are not implemented. One receiver is selected at a time.
