Set up Staff WhatsApp summary simulations
Use the explicitly labelled test feature without claiming real WhatsApp delivery.
For: Business notification manager · Staff for own linked profile. Open: Notifications / My profile → WhatsApp · local simulation.
WhatsApp local simulation
Business notification managers configure a selected Staff recipient; Staff may configure only their linked profile under My Profile. Enter a valid international number, confirm actual/demo consent appropriately, enable simulation and set evening/morning send times, then Save and reload. The worker uses the business timezone, summarizes tomorrow in the evening and current approved bookings in the morning. Empty schedules are explicit; deposit status does not select appointments.
Recent summaries show attempts/status. Simulation is not WhatsApp delivery. Changes apply to future schedules; bounded catch-up/retry and DST behavior are explained in the disclosure. Business-only simulated-failure controls test retry behavior; they are not exposed to Staff self-service. Customer confirmation consent is separate, optional and unchecked on the booking form.
Exact controls and save
- Confirm the panel says WhatsApp · local simulation and check Business timezone.
- Select the intended permitted Staff recipient. Staff self-service only edits the linked profile.
- Set Enable simulated summaries, Recipient number, Tomorrow’s schedule · send time and Today’s updated schedule · send time.
- Confirm recipient consent appropriately. Fictional demo consent is for synthetic tests, not permission to contact a real person.
- Choose Save WhatsApp simulation and reload.
- Read Recent simulated summaries and attempt/status information.
Business test controls may offer Simulate one transport failure, then retry; this is not a real provider message or outage. Customer WhatsApp consent is separate and optional on the booking form. Saved timing affects future summaries, not an immediate guaranteed delivery. Read retry/daylight-saving disclosure for scheduling behavior. Disable and save when no longer required. No simulated Success status proves a real WhatsApp transport is configured.
